Elevating Efficiency with Monnit’s Enterprise Wireless Contact Sensors
Monnit’s Enterprise Wireless 5-Input Dry Contact Sensors offers precise detection of contact between various wired contact points such as mechanical switches, relays, transistor switches, or contact plates. With a cable length of 0.9 m (3′) and bare-wire terminations, these sensors offer seamless integration with switches.
Operating on the principle of utilising five input wires and one ground wire, these sensors identify contact between any of the five inputs and the ground wire. They easily integrate into existing switches or contact plates. Once contact is detected between any input and ground, the sensor promptly transmits wireless communication to the gateway, which securely forwards the data to iMonnit or other approved data services.
Moreover, these sensors can be configured to detect closed and open loops for each of the five inputs, providing real-time alerts for contact closures, openings, and state changes.
Warning: Use caution when interfacing the ALTA 5-Input Dry Contact Sensors. Any external AC or DC voltages will damage the electronics of the wireless sensor.
This sensor come standard with two replaceable AA batteries. The typical battery life is approximately 10 years.
