OVERVIEW
Easily monitor industrial & scientific devices
Monnit’s Industrial 0-20 mA Current Meter is capable of measuring the current off another device or sensor up to 20mA DC. This current meter is a staple in R&D departments, academic labs, healthcare settings, and other areas that rely on industrial and/or scientific sensors.
Users routinely interface Monnit’s Wireless Current Meters with pH sensors, magnetic flow meters, dissolved oxygen or pressure sensors, velocity or acceleration sensors, industrial vibration sensors, and industrial accelerometers. If the current deviates from user-set limits, Monnit’s sensor instantly alerts designated personnel via email, call, or text.
Automatically measure and store data in real time
By connecting the leads on the 0-20 mA Current Meter to the positive and ground terminals of another device, the sensor can measure the current and send data to the iMonnit Online Sensor Monitoring and Notification System. The data is stored in the online system and can be reviewed and exported as a data sheet or graph. Notifications can be set up through the online system to alert the user when certain thresholds have been met or exceeded.
This sensor comes with an industrial battery included with a life of up to 7 years.
WARNING: Use caution when interfacing to the Monnit 0-20mA Current meter. Negative voltages, AC Voltages , or DC Voltage exceeding 3.6V CAN DAMAGE the electronics of the wireless sensor. Monnit is not responsible for troubleshooting, replacing or reimbursing damages incurred by disregarding this warning
All industrial sensors are enclosed in a reliable, weatherproof NEMA-rated enclosure that are constructed for both indoor and outdoor use. These rugged enclosures protect the sensor circuitry against;
- Falling dirt
- Wind-blown dust
- Rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose-directed water
- Ice formation on the enclosure
- Increased resistance to corrosion
Features
- Impressive wireless range of up to 1,200 feet through walls
- Frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS)
- Improved interference immunity
- Improved power management for longer battery life
- Encrypt-RF® Security (Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange + AES-128 CBC for sensor data messages)
- Over-the-air updates
- Free iMonnit basic online wireless sensor monitoring and notification system to configure sensors, view data and set alerts via SMS text and email
- Stores 2000 to 4000 readings if gateway connection is lost (non-volatile flash, persists through the power cycle)
- 10-minute heartbeats = ~ 22 days
- 2-hour heartbeats = ~ 266 days
