OVERVIEW
Keep the critical ultra-cold
Many products, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and research samples have varying development, production, and storage needs. They all require resilient, reliable, and proactive monitoring during the cold chain. Monnit’s Low Temperature Sensors are a vital tool for pharmaceutical and health care professionals, food manufacturers, and distributors.
Whether keeping vaccines in an ultralow temperature (ULT) freezer throughout your cold chain, remotely monitoring logistics for frozen commodities to and from warehouses, or cadaver storage monitoring in a morgue, you can count on Monnit’s Low Temperature Sensors. The instant temperatures rise above your preset limits; you get a sensor alert sent via text, email, or call.
The Wireless Low Temperature Sensor uses a glass-coated platinum resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensor to accurately measure temperatures from -200°C to 0°C (-328°F to +32°F).
Monnit’s Wireless Low Temperature Sensor outputs the ambient temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. It’s programmed to sleep for a user-given time interval (heartbeat) and then wake up, power up the RTD sensor, and wait for it to stabilize. Then it mathematically computes the temperature and transmits the data to the gateway.
Highlights of low-temp sensors
An industry-leading 25-month NIST certification is available on Monnit Low Temperature Sensors.
This sensor isn’t meant for wet, damp, high-humidity environments. This sensor should only operate in dry, low-humidity environments. The Low Temperature Sensor operates at extremely low temperatures and can withstand external condensation.
This sensor comes with an industrial battery included with the life of up to 7 years.
All industrial sensors are enclosed in a reliable, weatherproof NEMA-rated enclosure that are constructed for both indoor and outdoor use. These rugged enclosures protect the sensor circuitry against;
- Falling dirt
- Wind-blown dust
- Rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose-directed water
- Ice formation on the enclosure
- Increased resistance to corrosion
Features
- Impressive wireless range of up to 1,200 feet through walls
- Frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS)
- Improved interference immunity
- Improved power management for longer battery life
- Encrypt-RF® Security (Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange + AES-128 CBC for sensor data messages)
- Over-the-air updates
- Free iMonnit basic online wireless sensor monitoring and notification system to configure sensors, view data and set alerts via SMS text and email
- Stores 2000 to 4000 readings if gateway connection is lost (non-volatile flash, persists through the power cycle)
- 10-minute heartbeats = ~ 22 days
- 2-hour heartbeats = ~ 266 days
Applications
- Freezers and coolers
- Environmental monitoring
- Vaccine Storage Temperature Monitoring
- Cryogenic Storage Monitoring
