OVERVIEW
Protect your equipment, inventory and personnel with Monnit Industrial Standard Temperature Sensors.
Global enterprises trust Monnit Industrial Standard Temperature Sensors to protect equipment, inventory, and personnel. This sensor sends readings to iMonnit Online Wireless Sensor Monitoring and Notification system in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius based upon your configurations. When the temperature exceeds preset thresholds, these sensors issue an alert via text, email, or call.
The Temperature Sensor uses a type Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor to measure temperature. It is accurate to ± 1° C (± 1.8° F) and accuracy can be increased by user calibration to ± 0.25° C (± 0.45° F).
Monitor the temperatue of virtually anything
The Industrial Standard Temperature Sensor outputs the ambient temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. The sensor’s programmed to sleep for a user-given time interval (heartbeat) and then wake up. Then, it sends power to the NTC thermistor and waits for it to stabilize to convert the analogue data, mathematically compute the temperature, and transmit the data to the gateway. The sensor’s processor is programmed to calculate the temperature based on an internal data table. The Temperature Sensor also implements and configures a variable resistor over specified temperature ranges to reduce error. An industry-leading 25-month NIST certification is available on leaded Monnit Temperature Sensors.
This sensor comes with a 3.6V lithium battery and the typical battery life is up to 7 years. It can also be customised with an additional probe in lengths ranging from 3 – 100 ft.
All industrial sensors are enclosed in reliable, weatherproof NEMA-rated enclosures. The NEMA-rated enclosures are constructed for both indoor and outdoor use. These enclosures protect the sensor circuitry against:
- Falling dirt
- Wind-blown dust
- Rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose-directed water
- Ice formation on the enclosure
- Provides an increased level of corrosion resistance
Features
- Impressive wireless range of up to 1,200 feet through walls
- Frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS)
- Improved interference immunity
- Improved power management for longer battery life
- Encrypt-RF® Security (Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange + AES-128 CBC for sensor data messages)
- Over-the-air updates
- Free iMonnit basic online wireless sensor monitoring and notification system to configure sensors, view data and set alerts via SMS text and email
- Stores 2000 to 4000 readings if gateway connection is lost (non-volatile flash, persists through the power cycle)
- 10-minute heartbeats = ~ 22 days
- 2-hour heartbeats = ~ 266 days
Applications:
- Ambient temperature monitoring
- Pharmaceutical production
- HVAC operation and testing
- Logistics and warehousing
- Facility and property management
