Description


The new, low-cost, fully-configurable PyroSigma infrared temperature sensor is now available to order.

The PyroSigma is a very small size and features a built-in OLED display and push-buttons for configuration. 

Engineers can now see the measured temperature in-situ on their machine, as well as on an indicator in their panel via the sensor's voltage output. 

The PyroSigma also features a configurable open-collector alarm output. Both the alarm output and the voltage output may be used at the same time. 

This highly versatile unit includes many of the advanced signal processing features often found on sensors with a much higher price, including averaging, peak/valley hold processing and reflected energy compensation.

The PyroSigma is a general-purpose sensor for measuring non-metal materials from 0°C to 1,000°C. Metals can be measured provided they are painted or coated first to make them non-reflective.

Field of View Diagram

The diagram shows the measured spot size for 90% of the detected energy. Sensors can measure longer distances than the diagram shows, and the accuracy is not affected by the measurement distance in clean air. This is because the PyroNFC detects only the wavelengths of infrared radiation that are not absorbed by the atmosphere.
