OVERVIEW
Experience Advanced Field Data Collection with TidbiT MX Loggers
The HOBO MX2204 TidbiT water temperature logger leverages the power of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to deliver high-accuracy temperature measurements straight to your iOS or Android mobile device. Designed for durability, this rugged waterproof logger is ideal for long-term deployments in streams, lakes, and oceans. Data collection in the field has never been easier!
HOBO TidbiT MX Temp loggers measure temperature in streams, lakes, oceans, coastal habitats, and soil environments. Housed in a protective boot, these rugged loggers are designed for extended deployments in fresh or salt water at depths up to 5,000 ft. The loggers use Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) for wireless communication with a phone, tablet, or computer, and are equipped with an optional water detection feature that automatically turns Bluetooth advertising off when the logger is submerged in water, preserving battery power. Using the HOBOconnect® app, you can easily configure the loggers, download logged data to your mobile device or computer, or automatically upload the data to HOBOlink® for further analysis. You can also configure the loggers to calculate statistics, set up alarms to trip at specific thresholds, or enable burst logging in which data is logged at a faster interval when sensor readings are above or below certain limits.

FAQ'S
Can I download data from MX2200 Series loggers deployed in water?
No, the MX2200 Series need to be taken out of the water to download the data.
Do I need an optical shuttle to download data from the MX2200?
No, you need to have a mobile device such as a phone or tablet that runs iOS or Android operating systems and that have Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 4.0 or above) in order to download the data.
Is an event recorded in the data file when the logger is submersed or removed from the water?
With the MX2203 & MX2204, the user has the option while configuring the loggers to use the Bluetooth Off Water Detect. The logger will not advertise when the presence of water is detected. Once the logger is removed from the water, advertising will automatically turn on, thereby not requiring you to push a button (or use a magnet) to wake up the logger when you need to connect to it. This option preserves some battery power. Note: The logger will check for the presence of water every 15 seconds when this is option is selected.
Do the new MX2200 Series water loggers replace the existing Pendant and TidbiT water loggers?
No, we will continue to support the TidbiT, Pendant, and Water Temp Pro optical products although we encourage folks to take a look at the new features of the MX2200 Series.
Can I use HOBOware software to graph, analyze and export the data?
You have the ability to share a .HOBO file via email, or use HOBOlink.com to then open up the file in HOBOware to do additional data analysis like combining graphs and analyzing your data further. Note that HOBOmobile can also directly output a .XLSX & .CSV file format if you choose to work in Excel
